Tl;dr: Feminism is a crybully victim cult with zero self-awareness concerning double standards.

Without things to be offended by, there is no misogyny.

Without misogyny, there is no Patriarchy.

Without Patriarchy, their entire system of belief falls apart.

It's simply one of Feminisms naked double standards. When women want sex it's empowering, when men want sex it's objectifying.

Basically, it's an excuse to crybully you both ways; wanting sex makes you misogynist, pointing out that their stance is hypocritical also makes you misogynist. Misogyny equals Patriarchy, and thus Feminism lives to see another day with righteous indignation intact.

I would recommend asking a feminist sub and just taking whatever they answer with and trying to deconstruct and understand it. Then again not many of them will give you the same answer, it's all very contradictory with hard feminists

How come “feminists complaint about how badly they want to stop being objectified/want to be respected by men, seen as people...yet these same “feminists” will drive around blasting “WAP” in their cars whilst wearing shirts so tight their stomach hangs out alongside shorts that are hardly visible to the point it shows their butt cracks?

You’re trying to point out a hypocrisy that I don’t think exists,

And actually proves the point that feminists are trying to get across.

Is it hypocritical for women in the Middle East to demand to be respect as a human being even if they are not wearing a burqa or a hijab,

As this is seen as a very “immodest” act.

60 years ago, do you think it would of been hypocritical of women to demand respect even if they wore shirts showing off their shoulders,

Or wore shorts that were above the knee?

I’m guessing you would say no, which proves their point that your attire shouldn’t change wether or not you are treated as a human being or if you are sexually harassed or not.

And showing off your shoulders isn’t a justification for men to sexualize you and make sexually explicit comments at you without your consent.

Essentially,

Women want the ability to freely express themselves without having other people sexually harass them and not respect them because of their attire.

Fairly simple idea really.

Feminism is best understood as the basic premise that a woman should be free to live under the same set of societal guidelines as men. Obviously, there are a time and a place for certain clothing standards, but to a certain degree those things are dictated to us on an unspoken level (i.e. - no speedos at the office/ no thong bikinis, etc).

That said, I do think it's perfectly reasonable and should be expected for women to want to go out and fun and dress however they want to dress without feeling slut shamed. Sometimes it's fun just to buy something that makes you feel good, gorgeous, and fun!

I don't personally know many people listening to WAP in their cars atm, but when it came out it was meant to be an urban female empowerment anthem. You'd have to go back through mid 90s to 2010+ hip hop to understand the context, but a lot slap your face with dick/choke you till you sick type references made WAP an empowerment clap back.

It's also worth pointing out that not all women are feminists, obviously, but a large percentage of queer identifying women are. So not every feminist who is putting on short skirts and tight t-shirts to go see a band are even thinking about men at all. Many cant wait to get to the queer bar! But again it comes down to having the right to wear what you want without being cat called, having your butt slapped as you walk by, then called a bitch, cunt, dyke, or whore because you didn't want to give your number to a guy, or yelled at a group of guys for touching you!

People will always look at people. It's a fun thing to do just even sitting at a park on a Sunday, but SOME guys don't seem to know how to how to just keep it to a polite smile especially when they're with their friends and they've had a few drinks. Suddenly the middle of a Brooklyn street becomes the live chat of a Reddit Live session.

Men wouldn't behave that way if they were on their own (usually) or in a restaurant or office space anymore than you would run up an cup a guys balls walking by because you liked how he was wearing those pants!

It's about equal respect, equal pay for equal work, and having rights over our own bodies.

I don’t necessarily identify as a feminist because that word means different things to different people and usually attaching myself to strongly to one word makes me lose sight of any larger vision that I have about any concepts. I don’t really think in words so it feels very limiting to me but I understand that I still have to try to communicate with other humans. I am both women you described, and I also love being objectified (on my own terms). I read a book called bad feminist by Roxanne gay, I think you would like it. She calls herself a bad feminist bc she doesn’t fit into the role of “what a feminist should be”
