Kevin Samuels pointed out recently that Cosmo has always been a female centric propaganda mag selling women the Sex and the City type lifestyle in order to sell products. Not only is the magazine biased, but routine stories were made up. Cosmo is a joke.

The real question is this: is the double standard merely cultural, or does it go deeper? Can education convince people that men suffer as much as women, or are there some ingrained biologically programmed attitudes that make this impossible for people to see? If the former, we should campaign and educate. If the latter, society has to stop promoting the idea that the genders are equal in all respects, as it will result in disaster down the line.
