I wanted to buy a couple books. This is the list I came up with so far:

  • The Empathy Gap: Male Disadvantages and the Mechanisms of Their Neglect by William Collins
  • The Privileged Sex by Martin van Creveld
  • The Second Sexism: Discrimination Against Men and Boys (Blackwell Public Philosophy) by David Benatar
  • The Feminist Lie: It Was Never About Equality by Bob Lewis

And a German book to top it off:

  • Lexikon der feministischen Irrtümer: Politisch korrekte Vorurteile und männerfeindliche Mythen auf dem Prüfstand der Wissenschaft by Arne Hoffmann

As far as I'm concerned, "The Privileged Sex" by Martin van Creveld is a must-read and there is no other book that can take its place. "The Empathy Gap" by William Collins is a fairly new book (from 2019), and with 696 pages it is quite the tome. It also promises to elucidate the reasons behind specific men's issues (probably by closer inspection of how the gender empathy gap works in practice). "The Second Sexism" by David Benatar seems to be a similar encyclopedia, and I've read that it is very well sourced. However, much like the former book it comes at quite the price.

I'm not looking for RedPill stuff or anything of that ilk. Specifically, I'm looking for well sourced and neutral "encyclopedias" that present the information in a cold and factual manner, or that give counter-arguments to the feminist narrative. As my budget is limited, could you give your opinion on the books I already mentioned, and give other recommendations? 🙏
