I may reach out to some old friends soon, because I have 2 and a half I trust, but
This sort of thing makes me think about, people constantly talking about "males being unable to control their emotions and what not" while never offering the emotional support and understanding that predicates the majority of female circles, sometimes they can't relate due to that of circumstance and lack of awareness however -

The sort of disconnect in understanding, relies on a basis in sexist, that most females do not tend to recognize they inherently do to males, while at the same time advocating for equity, because yes, equity is what most feminist type advocacy groups are focused on now, equality is a completely different case scenario, and generally not really most of their focus anymore, as far as I've observed
Anyone can link Reddit posts and articles and studies are a rabbit hole of differing insights, which is why anecdotes need to be focused on
But I'll end off with these, which are r/TrueOffMyChest story which can range between totally ludicrous and fos to accurate and truthful it's up to the person to determine whether they believe it or not, I suppose

You'll notice even the reaction is different, I realize after personal experience there are a lot of men and women with stockholm syndrome to female abusers and it's MORE likely due to female dabusers being less reported and less acknowledged ofc due to societal standards
It being less reported due to the police and justice system being skewed in favor of females, thus produces the suppositional statistics of it occurring less to males, which may be true anyway but still doesn't negate the point

It's important to remember the source of things, not just the present situation/circumstance, and it's also worth noting this does not at all negative female victims as ASPD and NPD are more likely to occur in males, BPD and HPD are more likely to occur in females, none of these statistics state anything definitively nor do the anecdotes, what's worth acknowledging is the empathy gap, something I have and do personally deal with on a day to day basis, and supporting your fellow male and female victim, whenever they are ignored, cure the symptoms and set people on the right path if you can, GET people out of toxic relationships and protect your friends, meddling however is not the same as guarding
