In my experience, it is difficult to argue for equality or male issues without ultimately taking a stand against feminism. First, there is a high probability the other side will argue that men hold the power in society and are thus responsible for whatever the issue is. Second, feminism actively promotes misandry, which is a male issue on its own.

From this perspective, to achieve a meaningful social progress, male advocates need to address the feminism problem too. What are your thoughts on how to do this so that we are eventually successful in the long term?

1/ Do not feed the troll: do not fight feminism directly at all, let them discredit themselves, the pushback is inevitable and will probably start in the academia itself.

2/ Fight feminism frontally: argue the movement and philosophy is sexist as a whole, try to change people's mind and discredit feminism as a label.

3/ Try to reform feminism: separate and label the worst parts of feminism (I like the "toxic feminism" label), persuade public to condemn the "toxic" parts and thus change what feminism stands for.

In reality, male advocates are not a centralised movement and different people will probably try all three approaches at the same time. What are your thoughts on these strategies? Pros and cons? Which do you think is more likely to bring progress?

PS: I should add a null hypothesis:

0/ Feminism does not promote misandry and male advocates should not oppose feminism.
