It was 2020, when a specific incident happened (I will talk about that incident later) and I got interested in 'why do society treat men more harshly?' but I never got enough guts to ask this question to anyone. But, today I feel like I understood some of my questions and I want to at least write it so that maybe some people can correct me or they will also get an answer.

How does society become (so called) patriarchy? Here, I'm not referencing the feminist patriarchy theory but anthropology theory of patriarchy. No need to look at human evolution, from whom we evolved or what we were doing during the hunter-gatherer period because it's just too long. Let's just look at the pre -industrial revolution period. During this time too gender roles were present in the society and one thing which we see common is giving the bigger responsibilities to the male member of the family calling it 'Man of the house'.

What does the 'man of the house' mean?

The elder male member of the family used to be called as the 'Man of the house'. The responsibility of the whole family used to be on him. Just how our elders used to say * 'With great powers comes great responsibility'* in the same way some of those men used to get decision making power but that is because that man was earning to fulfill the needs of the family. Often modern liberals still focus on these powers only but they ignore that those men used to face some limitations and individual rights issues too. Often these men need to sacrifice their education to let and complete their younger siblings education. The responsibility to do the marriage of their younger siblings used to be on them. Often these elder brothers used to live in poverty compared to their younger siblings because of lack of education and low income jobs.

Why Men's safety is still not important in the 21st century?

"Women and children first", I read this line on the television during the 'Russia vs Ukraine war' and started thinking, 'is it because we are still thinking women are fragile? if yes then why no feminists coming ahead and picking up the gun to show their girl/women power?  Are those men toxic masculine, who are participating in the war, why is nobody talking about their safety?' These questions in my mind were just hammering me. So, what answer did I get? Answer: Culturally men used to be the protector. So society is more inclined to put a man at risk than a woman. Now, putting a man at risk (if he is capable) then ok, how much it's ok to generalise all men and neglect their safety in the 21st century. Will it be ok if during the war considering all women are nurturing so drafting them as nurses?

There are too many more things which I want to share but currently not to make a long post I am sharing this much.
