My best friend joined the Marines and went overseas a few years ago, before he enlisted, against everyone's warning, he got married to this girl he'd been seeing for about a year or so. Goes off to basic, finds out he's getting shipped over to Afghanistan.

Around the end of his service he came home for Christmas, about two months later she starts squealing about how she's pregnant and she's so excited, he's overjoyed, I'm happy for them both.

He gets out, he comes home, she's ready to pop, it's all sunshine and roses. She goes into labor, kid pops out! Guess what! The baby is black!

He cut her loose but it wasn't simple, she fought DNA tests, put his name on the birth certificate without his permission, tried to drag out the divorce, all that. But he's better off without her and I'm proud of how far he's come since then.
