28 U.S. Code § 2007 - Imprisonment for debt. A person shall not be imprisoned for debt on a writ of execution or other process issued from a court of the United States in any State wherein imprisonment for debt has been abolished.

Are you under the impression that the US government actually follows laws for individuals not making the maximum annual political contribution or in the country legally?

I just looked it up and this still accounts for a 1/3 of all US states.
