100% true. Best thing to come out of my last relationship is my golden retriever. We put up a baby gate in front of the bedroom door as my fiancé didn’t want him jumping up on the bed with us. Which (as it turns out) he respected even though it was not the physical obstacle we though it was, until the day I fell and hit my head on the bedframe. He immediately jumped the gate, rolled me over onto my back (not an easy feat for a 60lb/6 month old puppy), and kept licking my face till I came to and was able to get up.

Reminds me of a vid I saw a while back... injured guy on a stretcher and his dog going nuts a few feet from him 'cause he was being kept back. Dog breaks free and immediately goes for snuggles with his owner on the stretcher.
Yea. If you want loyal companionship a dog is definitely superior to a human. Now if only dogs were capable of intelligent discussion they'd be perfect as companions.

Lol maybe so for women, since some of them seem to derive pleasure from their male dogs. But us men love our dogs just like they love us. When nobody else loves you it’s nice to be loved by a dog at least.
