Some dogs can kill a pack of wolves though. The Kangal dog for example. Used to protect sheep.

They can kill a wolf one on one but I'm pretty sure no dog can kill a pack of wolves.

Okay maybe not a pack of wolves (assuming you mean like 5-6 wolves), but this dog can definitely protect our sheep from 2 wolves. For an entire pack we'd need 2-3 kangals.

I know, I'm a Turk also. I know they can protect the sheep from two wolves since two or three wolves probably won't risk their lives attacking a Kangal unless they are starving. But killing two wolves, that's something beyond a dogs capabilities. Or at least killing two wolves and make it alive(I'm not considering exceptions.)

Of course it depends on the region. Region changes the wolf kind. I don't think any dog can kill a pack of gray wolves, timber wolves etc.

My uncle has a caucasian sheepdog, a breed used to herd and protect lifestock without any supervision. Any wolf would think twice.
