I have drunk enough alcohol in my past life. I quit 6 years ago. Theres no reward, its a waste of money. Collection of blackouts and a head of pain in the morning. I m done with that.

I have seen many permanent accidents on past friends bodys.

Complete brain damage, cant even move on stairs anymore, cant even eat with a fork anymore.

From the lost of money and wealth.

Lost drivers license, lost house, lost car, lost job, lost family members. .........................

If you say no to the drinking games all night long. After only two weeks you will be forgotten, nobody ask you anymore if you want to go for a drink.

You only have one life and you have to decide if you want going up or stay down with these low life beings.

Don't give in to the urge. 25 years here and I could always get past the urge quickly by remembering how sick of it I was. Alcohol is a waste. Save your money and don't put that worthless stuff into your body. Added bonus, at 56 I look under 40. Alcohol ages you as well as causes bad decisions. 5 years, You're doing great. Keep it up.

I have never been in to drinking (father was a very abusive alcoholic), though I have a drink from time to time. Just be glad you ain't the dude your host is bitching at lol use it as a reminder.

I had to dry out for about 10 years to really get that crap out of my system. Boy, do we pay for the sins of our youth!
Good on you! That shit really does not pay in the long run.

Must be the holiday making me feel sentimental, talking about my ex- (2 years ago). She was into AA. 25 years sober and all that. Was never my bag. She was sober all right, but still pretty whacked! Different strokes!

5 years that's definitely an achievement, just past 3 years, one of the smartest decisions I ever made, along with GMOW.
