There's a lot of alt-right who come to /r/mgtow, but they're recruiting for mid term elections just like they did in 2016. They don't give a shit about MGTOW, just spreading their racism and anti-semitism hoping to bag that elusive "disaffected youth" vote they crave.
Are many MGTOW more conservative? Sure. Since deviancy and feminism and social justice bullshit is ctrl-left, then yes, many lean more right on the spectrum, and probably most would lean more libertarian and anti-statist, which both "progressives" and "alt-right" support.
They feel "confortable" because we're a far more open sub than the rest of reddit. There's room for different national background (as we're not an ethnostate nor the racist SJW group), different religions, although generally not religious hatred, and such things.
And you have to understand, this isn't a collective like every single group on reddit, it's individuals. Individuals may think or post things, but that's them, not a "group". There's nothing about MGTOW that requires or states racism, religiousism, or anything else. It's just a bunch of ideas that a group of people somewhat adhere to as it works for them.
