I recently stayed a few weekends interstate at the house of a friend. He built his own successful business, became a millionaire, then inherited a lot of money on top of that. In good shape, travelled the world extensively prior to the pandemic, interesting hobbies, etc, all round excellent guy.
But, the experience brought home to me the extent to which I have a radically different mindset. His wife on several occasions nagged and berated him right in front of me - a guest. He just meekly tolerated it. I was stunned. I realised that there was no way that I would tolerate such disrespect from a woman. To be nagged over something is understandable, but aggressively and right in front of a guest, absolutely unacceptable.
He also mentioned to me that she has recently "gone on a spending spree." Plenty of women, poisoned by modern materialism, are just never satisfied, we MGTOWs know this. Apparently she is always on him to purchase a holiday house (main property and investment property aren't enough?) New furniture, travel, renovations, it never ends.
It seemed tragic to me to see a good man reduced to such a meek, trampled hus-bank. But, marriage being what it is, he has nowhere to go. Cheaper to keep her. Divorce would be decimating.
One time I was there and the wife came home from being out for a few hours. He just stayed parked in front of the tv in the back room, showed no inclination to go and greet her. Clearly she's not such a light in his life. The whole picture seemed kinda sad. It really brought home to me the risks involved, the extent to which my mindset is radically different and the probability that I'm much better suited to being the lone wolf. I thought these observations were worth sharing. Share your own experiences witnessing friends' marriages. And keep going your own way, men.
