All people who need to congratulate themselves for being open minded and tolerant are doing so,because deep down inside they know that they're intolerant and that makes them insecure.

Take reddit for example,that's considered pretty liberal and open minded(that's what they claim),yet if you do express any opinion that goes against the reddit's hive mind you're judged and down-voted to OBLIVION.

What made him so great was his incredible knowledge of the subject matter at hand. He did not go into discussions half-cocked.
