I used to make a ton of cash in my 20's and blew it all on partying. It was fun and sure I could have been smarter but whatever. Now I make a modest amount but live a more simple life. Having too many things became a burden. I am pushing 50 with no kids and have never been married and I am more free than married men who make ten times what I make. I have literally, in less than a minute, grabbed my bag and headed to the airport to leave the country with no planning just because I was bored and I could do it.

Part of the reason is that the systemic sexism against men (how women actually earn more money than men when they both have the same qualificatiosn simply because vagina, how men are taxed harder and receive fewer welfare benefits literally because vagina, etc.) means that even the men want to earn money have to work significantly harder than women to get the same pay. This level of effort makes some men just tap out and say that they'll just live more frugally, let alone the men who do bust ass but get less fruits for their labor relative to previous generations.

But part is also because of this. Men don't actually NEED a lot of money inherently. If they could live in a studio they would. What money gives them is status and ability to attract women (and the women then spend said money) and raise kids. Status is outward validation, meaning that your status is only as high as others perceive it to be. When you're MGTOW, you give no fucks what others think. As for attracting women, said women have become less attractive and less pleasant to be around with each passing day. If a man finds no reason to catch a woman, he no longer actually needs that much money because he's only sustaining himself. Being unable to raise kids anymore is a side effect of how society discriminates against men and how dangerous and toxic it is to get with women.

ultimately, the means to earn money as a man is under constant attack. The reason to earn money erodes with every passing day. C-c-c-c-combo the two together like peanut butter and jelly and you get the perfect storm.

Agreed. Going from a top-income bracket when married to between the poverty line and middle-class has been rewarding. I have everything I need, everything I want takes some saving up, and the solace is priceless.

Maybe I'll get a dog in a few years when my knees get stiff and teach him to grab beers from the fridge like I saw on a video.

Definately. I have many opportunities to take a higher paid job but one that would stress me more. If I had a wife, no doubt this would be my path

I still want to retire early so I'm not completely where I'm at, but certainly money is not an issue for me atm

Agreed. And the market agrees as well. All these anti-male/anti-white commercials are not just virtue signaling. Advertisers are marketing towards who they see as a more susceptible market, and they’re not wrong. Men are less materialistic and smarter with their money. It may be a blessing in disguise that Woke Corporate has decided to throw men under the bus. Being free from the spell of advertisers is good for the soul.

I make good money but you would never know it by the way I live. I live way under my means so that I can put between 20-40% of my income every month into investments. Trying to be retired in the next few years.

Agree. I make a damn good living, but I live a frugal lifestyle. My only debt is my mortgage, which has a lot of equity and will be paid off in a decade it so. If I had a girl, I'd probably be depressed, suicidal, and broke. I could happily work a lesser occupation, and probably will when I retire. If for no other reason than to keep busy

I was in line today, some girl just bought $3,700 worth of Villeroy and Boch dishes, just dishes ( I was spending $400 on my dishes to add to my collection). She looked like a miserable void! The kind of girl that would buy a $20,000 purse and still feel void inside. You will never ever satisfy a girl's materialism. If you buy her a yacht for her birthday, she will be disappointed you bought her a La Ferrari for her next birthday! wages have not kept up with inflation and compared to the days of yore, we're working much longer hours for much less compensation.

At least the money we make doesn't go as far as it used to.

You have multiple options now, you can go work hard and make a good salary and work your way up the ranks. Or you can just enjoy life and not work as hard. The simple truth is that men today now have a choice. We dont need to make the big money anymore. Kids arent a requirement in todays age. And lets face it, kids are the major factor why a man needs to make more money.

But this statement is flawed. Because its never been about how much money you make. Its about how much money you keep.
