Partly correct. We are talking about Veronica Lario, ex wife of Berlusconi (media mogul and former prime minister of Italy, if you don't know him): still, the idea behind it is that she is already obscenely rich (a minimum of 100+ millions euro, probably much more) so alimony makes no sense no matter how much richer Berlusconi himself is considering that all that wealth had been created and given to her by Berlusconi himself during the marraige. So, it is not that alimony itself is now unesistent in Italy, or that she did something that prevents it; simply put, if you are so rich you don't need monetary help, you won't get it. Still a good step in the right direction, mind you, but she still got a lot out of the divorce.
