The thought process is why mess up a cool pic by getting in it? The idea is too get a pic of the car not of yourself.
And the girls idea is to get a pic of herself with a cool car in the background. To me that completely messes up the pic. I know there are lots online but they weren't taken by me.
The deeper point is anyone who does this is trying to be the center of attention which to the men of this sub is very negative.

They think the universe revolves around them. So for anything to be worth photographing they have to be the subject matter. What’s in the background is irrelevant compared to them. I’ve seen this first hand. My son’s soccer team won the championship in their age division and when they were on the podium I saw one of the dad’s taking a picture of the team while his wife was taking a selfie with the team in the background. In her head that day was about her, not the hard work and dedication of those boys and what they accomplished.

Don’t see why this is a female thing. There’s infinite pictures of that car, you’re not going to take a picture that tops all of those. Why not have one with you in it? You’re purposely missing my point. The picture has a lot less meaning to you and everyone you know if it’s a picture that’s only relation to you is that you took it. If you can find the same picture on google in 10 seconds it’s meaningless. If you’re in the picture it gains a layer of worth, unless you completely hate yourself. The picture may not have meaning to you because you hate all women, that just makes it weirder that it’s posted here.

There are many ways to take a picture with an object and not obscure a good 2/3 of it. I don't exactly agree with the hard line opinion of the poster you're disagreeing with, but this is an obvious grab at the center of attention. Why not stand further back to the right, and zoom in less / stand back? Or you could go around and pose behind/beside the car on the other side of the display. Still personal, but you get to see the car.

You can’t just say shit and make it true. I made it clear but if you insist I can try again. I like people. I like seeing people I know. I like seeing people I know do what they like. I would be happy for my friends if I saw them with a picture of a car they like. The car is the subject of the picture, the person is why that picture matters.
