Consult with an attorney; look for a male attorney who specializes in divorce/child support for other men, and do it on the down-low. It’s nobody else’s business: not your wifes, nor your kids, nor your friends, nor your co-workers. Nobody.

I dont have any facts regarding this, but something tells me that if you, as the man, initiate the divorce (the facts are that females initiate 70-80% of divorces) you may have extra clout in the future proceedings, because she can’t say “he abused me”, “he molested the children”, etc etc.

Don't bother with therapy/counseling; females are naturally sick in the head, and this is compounded by contemporary first world societies. It is a gross waste of both time and money.

If you don't start making moves, she will, and that’s when the “he hit me”, “he touched our children for years” comes out.

I'd start moving some money into crypto. If it's an exchange outside of the US they are not entirely subject to US law and your soon to be ex wife's lawyer will not be able to get anything out of them. They won't be able to even prove you have an account.

I could say a number of things but I'm not in the position that you're in, nor will I ever be. Though I have thought about starting a new life a few times. I enjoy the area I live in too much though and it'd be hard for me to start a new life in the same area (though possible).

So many guys are in the position that you're in and think about moving somewhere else and starting a new life (typically out of the US). Guess what? They never follow through. Their thoughts of leaving and starting a new life remain fantasies and they continue being miserable and wish they made that step. I'm here to give you some encouragement to go through with it. Move to China, move to Poland, move to Australia, move to New Zealand, move across the US or Hawaii even, move anywhere but where you are now. Figure out how to become untraceable by your wife and people you know. Of course if you move out of the US (especially to another continent) then them being able to trace you will be harder and doesn't really mean anything. Delete all social media, write a very small letter to friends or to your wife, stating you're leaving for good, could even be "I'm leaving." or "Bye.". You write the letter so you're not reported missing and so the police aren't looking for you.

You're probably not gonna go through with it -- no guy seems to, despite them leading miserable lives. Give it some heavy consideration and do it. Bets of luck

I like Hypogamy's suggestion. I would humbly like to add, before you do anything, go ahead and get yourself a passport. No need for anyone else to know about it. This saved a guy in Canada when his ex decided to squeeze him. He bounced and moved to the Phillipines. No extradition means that his kids know where to find him if they want to, but he vowed never to return to Canada. Essentially, they gave him the choice of being in poverty, slaving for his ex who pisses money away without care, or jumping ship entirely. He chose the latter, and as I said was lucky enough to get out of country before anyone was the wiser.

I do this almost every year. I pack up and leave, cancel my social media and started a life in a new country.

It's honestly one of the best things on Earth and it gets easier every year. Apps like Airbnb actually now mean I can get my own cheap private room when years ago I would have had to share stuff in a hostel.

Practically any foreign city now has wifi everywhere and modern supermarkets. The only bitch is most countries will only give me a 90 day visa.

I don't have any active communication with family or friends. If they want to get a hold of me then there's old fashion email but I probably won't respond.

I'm pure ghost mode because most people don't care about foreign men (except hookers in places like Thailand). If I wear sweat pants or cargo pants then people think I'm a backpacker bum and have nothing to be robbed / not worth their time.

I don't bother with the gym because I'm afraid people would recognize me if I go to the same place like 6 times a week. I'm currently in a poor country so if any man can afford a gym here then he most likely has some gangster affiliation and that's the kind of people I try to avoid.
