If you look closely the changes are even more fucked than the symbolism of betraying the Crown.

Assuming that these are the two default images, they've shortened the lion and put both feet on the ground which makes it more passive and weak not this great force that is active and advancing to meet their foes.

Also the original is great, it shows peace in one hand but the threat of the sword is ever present, the arm is made to show the sword in motion ready to be swung down.

The second one makes the peace frond much larger and more forward prominent so that it blocks out the sword arm. They've also tinkered with the sword arm with the line of the wrist and the elbow near the mane - these tiny changes again make it more passive, it's no longer an active force/threat it motion it appears awkward and static (almost looks as though the sword is collapsing backwards if anything).

I might be reading too much into this, but I really doubt it (esp since they said changes plural) and this speaks volumes about how fucked they are due to the mentality and motives of the individuals that have wormed their way into leading the military.
