So basically they talked about nothing. Like always. No content just verbal diarrhea and virtue signalling. Just a body with a NPC brain. No wonder sexbots are becoming the future.

Honestly I can totally understand why her mechanic was not pleased. She obviously can’t even do basic ass fucking maintenance on her car aka CHECKING THE OIL DIPSTICK to see how low she is on oil or how dirty it is. Not rocket science. I regularly see her posts on my feed with a ridiculous amount of boys giving her attention probably in hopes of getting with her. I read them for the lols at how dense she is. I extended an olive branch at one point and even told her I don’t date single moms, but I wouldn’t mind playing pool or something platonic. Of course I was cast aside as just another person giving her attention. She’s matched me on Tinder 3 different times all without me even swiping on her because I’m not interested. Constantly posting stupid things like “why am I single blah blah blah” with typically 15 boys commenting as BEYTAHS kissing her ass. Honestly I believe she is one of those “in the way” people who should’ve been flushed. She was so ready to give up the ass first time I had talked to her its not even funny. The fact she can’t even take care of a beater car shows how unfit she is to raise her daughter. Feel bad for the kid, but not too much considering she chose to have a kid at a young age with some boy.

I love my beater Volvo. Keeps away the gold diggers and FDS thots. Park that metal tank anywhere and not give a fuck. Surely the guy with a leased German car who drowns in debt is a more interesting target 😂
I can understand your mechanic friend's frustration, yet it's still a business and it provides income and work.

Personally I’m a car enthusiast so stupid shit like failing to check maintenance on a car which is so simple anyone can do it just baffles me. Motor failure because you ran out of oil? Cmon now lololololol. I get it, sometimes you go over mileage for oil/transmission fluid checks it happens.
[–]danny_welds[S] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not my friend, don’t even know the guy. I totally agree it’s a business, at the same time most mechanics don’t want to scam you out of money simply because it’s that easy. Not to mention those same people who destroy their motor will complain about having to have it repaired/replaced as if it’s the mechanics fault they can’t check their own oil or bother to change it themselves.

What rejection? Lol I made it clear I don’t date single moms and wouldn’t mind being a friend to go do things like hiking, playing pool, etc with. I have options like most other people, as if I’d worry about one girl especially one that has a kid. I can show you more posts of the attention seeking she does which I do find amusing considering the amount of people who try to establish platonic relationships with her and even try to date her among some of those being single dads. Last I checked this was a MGTOW community. Not sure what warped sense of thinking you have, clearly the name “HideOnReddit” would suggest you’re simply a troll account which makes sense.

Imagine someone crying on reddit for being banned from a video game server. Oh shit you just got busted.

As a mechanic, this is infuriating. Coupled with “mechanics think they can screw me over because I’m a woman” comments, I feel like I’m gonna go bald pulling out my own hair.
[–]danny_welds[S] 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Thank you! I feel so fucking bad for most of you since the small minority of “mechanics” aka hack jobs really do take advantage of people. I know plenty of cool ass car girls who laugh at dumb broads claiming that “I’m a wahman so he’s obviously taking advantage of me” bs.

I’ve been in the business for about a decade, and The shit I’ve seen will make your head explode. Had a customer once show up 60k over on her oil change. Canister oil filter. Had to cut it off with a ziz wheel. Same woman couldn’t get her tire pressure light off, so she kept adding air. 120 psi by the time she made it to the shop
Thank god I’m in custom work now, and I don’t have to deal with idiots anymore.
I believe you, people complain about work being done they can’t/won’t even bother to do themselves. I’m no expert, but fuck me dude it’s absurd the level of stupidity some people expel. I’m sure you’re level of face palming has gone down quite a bit lmao.

I was at work and my step Mom said she needed to add some oil. She she mixed up a quart for a case. Went down to G.I. Joes and baught a freaking 12 quart case of oil and then just started putting it. She did use a funnel. That Car smoked so bad when she got it home I could not believe it. Car never did run right again.

I’m surprised with that much in it, it didn’t overfill the valve. We had a counter on an oil gun go bad a couple years ago, and one of the new techs didn’t know it. Thought he put in 4 qts, ended up being closer to 4 gallons. You could see it flooding the valve cover and it sounded like a boat when they fired it up.

Exactly why I have relegated wrenching to a hobby instead of a career. Of course I work in IT now so I am not sure if that is any better.
[–]swhitney1860 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I’ve thought about getting into IT or just changing up my career in general, but I’ve got $100k In tools I’d rather not let collect dust in the garage. Tough decision at this point...

I'll trade ya for my server rack, thinkpad, and mechanical keyboard. IT kills your soul after a while.

And these idiots want 24+ hours without men.
Ask & you shall receive. I’m perfectly happy on my own. Good luck trying to change oil, the filter, tranny fluid, tire rotation, rotor replacement, pad replacement, bleeding calipers, repairing a blown shock/strut, fixing a leaking exhaust, etc.

I will never buy a car from a Women just for this reason. I am known for having cars and truck last forever. My 94 Ford Ranger is still going at 450,000 and I have a new motor and clutch to drop in next summer when it starts running hot again because its old. And my Subaru I have down to less then 10 mins to change after I get it on my wheel ramps.
[–]danny_welds[S] 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don’t blame you for not buying a car from a woman, it’s funny because I’m a huge Nissan guy but drive a fa20dit wrx atm until I can find a 93 skyline gtr vspec as my project car. I legit talked to some girl the other week on Tinder (LOL) who asked “yeah but have you ever blown 4 motors in 10 months?” (Talking about her Subaru). I just laughed at her considering the EJ motor is a fairly flawed BUT manageable motor within reason aside from fucking ringland failure. Blowing 4 motors? Jesus fucking Christ what’d you do? Beat the piss outta it & skip oil changes knowing how they piss oil like it’s nothing lmao.

I knew of a girl in college that didn't even know you had to change the oil. Her boyfriend at the time rolled his eyes and said he'd change it for her. When he pulled the oil plug, nothing came out. Him, not being a mechanic filled up the crankcase with the recommended amount of oil. The engine froze solid. She obviously blamed him for wrecking her car.
Just walk away gentlemen. No good can come from helping them.
[–]danny_welds[S] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Sounds like the oil caked up to a gelatin to me, seen it in person it’s pretty gross. Both of them are at fault imo 1) the girl doesn’t even know basic maintenance 2) the bf acted like he knew man than what he did
I really don’t understand tho how people don’t realize a motor is metal components moving, motor oil is literally lubrication to prevent seizure/overheating due to friction from intense heat.
I’ve actually blown holes in my motor on my last car from not paying attention like a dumbass to the burning smell from an oil leakage onto my catalytic converter which in return drained all the oil from my car which blew 4 holes in it. Goes to show I’m not perfect either lol.
[–]GreetingsFromErf1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, like I said, he wasn't a mechanic. Just a guy that knew cars are supposed to have oil in them. I only heard about it after the fact or I would have warned him.

What happened to Strong and Independent Women???
[–]OverlordWhiteWolf1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
35k miles a year is around 100 miles a day. Maybe I’m just naive but I can’t think of a job that would require that without giving you a company car.
[–]wldrnryn1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
50 miles to work for me every day one way. Thats Just work. I also go to the gym, run errands and have a life. 100 miles a day is not outrageous at all if you live in a not so populated area.
[–]danny_welds[S] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That’s a lot of gas being used, not sure the octane you use as I have to use 93 octane so driving THAT much for me is absurd. I currently drive to a job site from NH to MA which is a 2 hour commute both ways working long hours.
[–]wldrnryn1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yup 93 octane over here too. Ive put way too many miles on my Audi S5 but hey..i suppose thats why i bought her right? To enjoy my commuting in something fun comfortable fast and gorgeous looking.
Side note, small world im from NH and commute to MA as well.
Lol that’s too funny man, I do like the s5s tho and s3s sick cars. 93s a bitch but we don’t buy fun cars for gas mileage!
[–]OverlordWhiteWolf0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Goddamn that’s a lot. I guess I never thought about pretty isolated towns.
[–]CpuDoc671 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I used to work with a space cadet who put so much oil in her engine it destroyed it.
Oh lord, another thing that kills me too lmao. Too little or too much oil isn’t good at all. There’s a reason our motor oil dipsticks have a cutoff limit for the amount allowed.
