Add into that... just how many really "rich" guys are there in the "Millennial" generation?
Given the generation's essentially "flat" wages/salaries (and ridiculously high debt & tax burdens) -- they're few and far between -- much more rare than in previous generations.
Ergo, she'd be just as likely (possibly even more likely) to get "rich" by buying "PowerBall" lottery tickets.
-- She may very well end up with four kids (from three, or four, or possibly even five or more {i.e. not entirely certain which did the deed} different baby-daddies) -- but she's NOT gonna be "rich" from it -- instead she'll be a parasite barely making it by using the kids themselves as a means of extracting SOMETHING from the system. (aka Somebody gotz to pay for all her babiez!)
they all seem to believe that they'll end up with "the one" eventually.
Yup. And they are CERTAIN that he will be "tall, handsome, really RICH (probably/ideally from some super-wealthy family)" and he will fall INSTANTLY and MADLY in love with her (at first sight, etc) -- he'll "fawn over her" giving her gifts to "woo" her, plop her into some fancy "Mansion" ... and well basically buy her whatever she wants, etc.
They ALL -- literally -- imagine that they're some "Disney Princess"... and that their proverbial (if not literal) "Prince" will come and sweep them off their feet...
-- DEEP DOWN INSIDE... they really, actuallybelieve that will happen...
And when it doesn't -- when in fact NOTHING happens that is even REMOTELY like that little "magical" fantasy ... well, guess what? Can you say "depression" (psych meds, etc); how about "bitchy anger"? frustration, etc etc.
Many men have similar delusional-fantasies -- albeit probably a little LESS extreme (*); nevertheless, per example the quote from Fight Club:
We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.
The biggest irony of course is that the line is in a MOVIE, and is spoke by a "millionaire, MOVIE GOD actor" -- well how has HIS life been turning out lately? Yeah... he's pretty much "fucked" too isn't he... Brad Pitt actually GOT (via both luck AND work) the wealth and fame, and success: and yet his life (at present) is still pretty SHITTY (drama & stress filled, divorce-rape + nasty custody-battle crapfest!)
-- * Though of course those same Disney "Prince rescues/wins Princess" concepts are still DEEPLY embedded in their psyche, and are the "root" of the pervasive (and generally idiotic) "white knight" behaviors.
