Can there be a bad stoicism. I had a really rough life and it forced me to learn about my emotions, what causes them, how to suppress or channel them, and sometimes even create them. Anyway for a long time whenever I felt an emotion, my face never reacts except for really strong emotions and even then it is always subtle. I get angry or annoyed, no change. If I am amused the corner of my lip my raise a little bit but nothing noticable. I'm wondering if this forced stoicism is causing me problems because I still suffer from depression, insecurity, and anger. My goal is to life a happy and peaceful life and these keep getting in the way. Should I see a therapist?
