Some women can carry movies, Charlize Theron (normally a beautiful woman) gained weight and embodied her role for Monster, which was a good movie. So female looks aren't necessarily important to producing a good film. However, the difference in this case is "talent"

Amy Shumer has no talent. Her jokes are stolen, her material is recycled - she's basically a slightly younger Chelsea Handler. Many female comedians ("comedienne" is ridiculous) are largely interchangeable. Their jokes boil down to "I'm such a whore" and "blah blah my vagina, i said vagina, i mentioned my vagina - isn't that funny? A woman talking about how much of a whore she is and her vagina? and guess what i used in my whoredom.." (what could it be!?) "My fuckin' vagina!" (She's an inspiration. Such a talented woman. So powerful. The voice of her generation)

I have no problem with female comedians that are actually funny. Look at most of Kathleen Madigan's material. It's funny and rarely raunchy.

Don't get me wrong - i don't like raunchiness in male comedians either. My favorite comedian is Brian Regan. I'm on board with most of Ron White's material, until he starts talking about his thick cock, "i may not touch bottom, but i will stretch out the sides." The same lowest common denominator that women use to be "funny".

So, while i don't think good female looks are necessarily needed to have good movie, i do think talent is absolutely required. And, now - if you look at what i said, what does that sound like?

MEN! It sounds like men! Looks at Tommy Lee Jones, as an example. Hideous man. Fantastic actor (usually). He's incredibly talented and that compensates for his lack of looks. Shit, even look at Al Pacino. Not a classically good looking man and he's only 5'7", but, at his peak, he could act the shit out of his parts.

(You're not hating on women and now I'm confused if you are white knighting or supporting feminism or trolling... AHH this is the internet, i can't have a multifaceted discussion AND I STILL SEE RON WHITE'S DICK)

My point to all of this being that i agree with the poster, they are including women that are both unattractive AND untalented in movies simply because they are trying to push this "every body is a beautiful flower" bullshit agenda. I would support any movie as long as it is a good movie, i don't care if it is a male or female driven movie but as long as they continue to push both unattractive AND untalented women to the front of movies, i'll continue to avoid the theaters.

I refuse to watch that drivel period, it is not worth giving them that much of 'my' attention. If there is any truth to quantum entaglement, they may actually receive some sort of benefit from my viewing and that would be unnacceptable.

I blame the Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street - take an idea that should be crap, make it into a self referencing comedy. No way shes a 5/10 btw, put her on a Walmart checkout and she wouldnt even register as being female
