True. Financial freedom is paramount. The ability to say "fuck you" and walk away is not to be underestimated, IMHO. Personally, I have 2.5 year stash fund to say just that. Then of course, I'd have to sell my fully paid off house which is easily 6 times that amount and still "fuck you" applies...

Saving will never make you wealthy or secure though. Investing and passive income is key. You can't really call yourself "free" if you must depend on an employer to survive.

Make money and more money but don't spend it on fem vacations, clothes, shoes, jewelry, useless shit, snotty dinners, expensive holiday presents, birthday and valentine junk, and so on.

Spend it on something fun: investments, car, boat, musical equipment, electronic toys, guns, whatever. Spend it, make lots more. You can figure out how to do it, she's not around.
