I never understood this. What is the fucking point of discussing, complaining or explaining a crappy situation if you don't want a solution or conclusion? It's baffling.
A woman does this for an hour none the wiser as to why they are in the situation and how to get out of it but she feels better because she talked about it and shared it and then they back in the same loop again. Stagnant thinking.

I REALLY hate this about women. They will complain about a problem to us and men, being the problem solvers that we are, offer advice. Then they get pissed. They never wanted advice on how to fix something; only for someone to listen to their complaining (emotional tampon).

As a man, you should do yourself a favor (if you aren't doing this already.) Pick a short time period (a day, a week, whatever) where you do absolutely nothing for women. Don't explain anything to them, don't assist them (unless you have to for your job), and don't commit any chivalrous acts. Then just sit back, and watch the hamstering and complaining about how you aren't living up to your responsibility as a man. You'll never completely please them, so don't try. Live to make yourself happy, and if you decide to have a woman in your life let her know it's your world and she's just along for the ride.
