When women take the children from their fathers, it is like they are taking the products of their domestic effort. Thus when they obtain in addition to this half the financial resources of the household, they are taking more than they are due.

Put another way, if women get the children plus half the remaining household, men are left with only one quarter of the value of the family.

That's if you count children very conservatively as only half the value of a family.

SAHMs usually get hit hard in divorces though. Whatever they get is less than they got before the divorce.
