Went on a bumble date with a rich girl who had 2 years left of med school. I asked her how much she studied... she laughed and said "not as much as I should; there's just too much to learn! It doesn't matter how many times I read it, if I know it I know it, if I don't I don't". She came from a super wealthy family and when I asked her what inspired her to be a surgeon, she said she didn't know. I laughed and said that's a lot of hard work and a long path; something must have inspired it. She laughed and reaffirmed she "didn't know". I got a strong sense that she was in it for the money and status. She clearly had no passion for it and didn't enjoy it. When she graduates, she's buying a beach house in San Diego to celebrate. How can someone afford a beach house after med school? Daddy's paying for it all. This society is ultra-fcked. In conclusion, if you ever need surgery DO NOT let a female surgeon operate on you.
