I needed an operation done twice because the female surgeon who did it first lacked the raw strength needed to get it done right. I had to be awake and it was brutal.

You know why society is so fucked up? Because it got so soft. Most people don't even realize now that surgery can be as rough n tumble as butchering a hog, it's not a profession for women.

Not sure why it reminds me of this encountered I had once. I was at a bar in a university town the night of graduation. I started talking to this random girl who was standing at the same table as me and a friend (standing room only). She graduated earlier in the day, said her major was social work. I asked her if she had a job and was looking forward to helping people and her response was "I'm not getting a job, I'm getting married!". My first thought is, why even go through the effort for the degree. No joke, this simp walks up not 10 seconds later, and she introduces him to the table as her fiance who just finished med school. This was a couple decades ago, way before I'd ever heard of MGTOW, but my brain recognized what she was and in my drunken state I said to him point blank "you're gonna need a good lawyer someday." He just cringed and led her away. AWALT.

Her attitude would indicate this is already being paid for, as opposed to her having taken out a loan. Medical students can go $500K in debt for that. When you are going in debt like that for an MD, you're not going to be so lax in your attitude about it.

I knew a med student turned eventual doctor (almost a damn decade later after fellowship and all that). Either this girl is lying, or is just autistic. Premed is pretty hard but you can fake your way for sure with some money and tutoring. Same for mcat test. But once in medical school, it's not joke. But even if you manage that somehow, there are board exams and whatever other real exams that unless you are serious about your schooling, you will not pass. Add to all this, the whole time people have been competing for the best specialties that pay well, it's not like there are infinite spots. I am a pretty bright dude. The med student I knew was clever for a girl. But her memory and work ethic were 5x mine. I watched her devour chapters and recite info from them on stuff you could not BS. Words you've never heard of and nerve groups you simple had to know. Med school is no joke.

Don’t worry. Once they get to a residency and the brutal schedule that brings she’ll decide its not for her. She’ll decide to baby trap some simp who’ll continue to support that lifestyle. What? 500k down the drain? Not her $$ therefore she never really appreciate it in the first place.

Surgery is no joke. If you get a blackmark there, it's not like getting a D on a final. Too many of those (or maybe just one) and you're out. Forever.

If med school doesn't wash her out, actual practice will if she's not serious about it.

Still, she does sort of have a point. There rly is too much to learn for most people. A lot of surgeons are capable of retaining something like 60 or 70% of schooling and then they refresh themselves on the missing stuff as the need arises. So, in a way, she's actually being realistic here.

But her attitude still terrifies me.

Can confirm

Spent some time casually with such a woman completing her residency. No intimacy just conversation.

I asked her if she was passionate about her chosen profession. Her answer was "not really". She volunteered that she was looking for a man with money. I was blown away by her honesty. Decided right then and there that conversation would be the only thing we shared going forward. There was no benefit to pursuing her. I was divorced and not looking for a gold digger or a headache.

The last evening I spoke with her she was headed back to the big city to do something related to her residency. She was probably going back to her husband/fiancée or whomever was paying her way. I expected a rather brief good bye and that would be the end of it.

She offered me a scrap of paper with her local number on it. Told me she would be back in a month and to call her. I said sure. As soon as she drove off I gave her phone number a toss and let the evening breeze carry it into the darkness.

I don't give a fuck about doctors male or female, like cops, they are just brainless enforcers of the will of the state. I'm not impressed by any doctor. We all know they went into it for the money. No doctor goes into the field not knowing that they could literally become millionaires. I don't give a fuck that their residency is hard, or whatever. If there was a real problem, the system would be reformed, and doctors could be trained in larger numbers. Anybody can be trained. Medical schools keep enrollments low, because doctors like their prestige, privilege and power. Give doctors a choice - make 80k and have work-life balance at the cost of having a lot more doctors around, or make, 500k and be rich, but little else. They'll take the money every time.

Nothing has changed. Society is still religious in nature. Instead of christ, now they worship money and power

I knew a couple of med students. Some didn't mind to show up half-drunk or hungover at surgery practicals. Those people offered their body after their death to science to have med students practice on them. And those are to become our future doctors.

There's a reason various Japanese medical school have openly admitted to changing results to admit less women to the school. They did a comprehensive study and found that almost a third of women retire after less than 5 years, another third never return to work after having children, and something like half of them don't even work full hours, mostly part time in less rigorous specialties.

They're effectively creating a health crisis due to lack of properly trained doctors available to work. Also a ton have resigned during the pandemic meanwhile you have a ton of old retired male doctors coming out of retirement to help ease the load of the doctors capable of addressing the issue.

And more about the specialties. The harder or more refined the specialty the more training you need, but that doesn't affect the drop out rate post training so you have a ton of women wasting over ten years of training that could have gone to a dude that would work til he died. The Japanese are on record saying training women in medicine is a waste of time because they work practically HALF as much as men do. Did you know you need to combine the work hours of two female doctors to equal the time of one male doctor? Male doctors work about 65 DAYS worth of hours more than female doctors A YEAR.
