I went apartment hunting and invited my friend who is like a brother to me, but he is engaged to a woman with a kid (because she CURRENTLY cooks, cleans, etc. for him and the only alternative he has is to live with mom, because he doesn't have enough to live on his own I guess). He invited his SO. First thing she says to me is "So, OP, now this means you can babysit for me and ____! :)"….. I laughed a bit, because my friend knows this is not happening, but I know she will get him to ask me for shit like this…. How can I keep his marriage from spilling over into my life? Do I have to cut him loose?? He's like a brother to me.
