This is a cautionary tale to all of you.

A couple months ago I ran into what I considered my ex since we dated on and off for about a year and I was her first. We had split because, although I hadn't discovered MGTOW yet, I refused to be in a committed relationship, she got fed up and blew up on me.

Fast forward a year, we run into each other at a bar/club for the first time since breaking up. I was really high and a little bit drunk so things instantly heated up and we started talking regularly after that. She quickly made it clear that it wouldn't be like last time, that she wanted something serious, and I caved. Once I did, the floodgates were open and I fell HARD. I broke up with the 2 other girls I was seeing, deleted tinder on my phone and decided to focus on her.

Here I sit, 3 months later, after spending money on her, turning down girls I slept with form time to time and fucking asking her to meet my parents. Heart broken, on the verge of tears, because "Even though she loves me, this isn't the right time in her life and she can't forget how I treated her in the past".

I know I dodged a fucking bullet and everything, but for all the talk about money and time, I see few of us talking about how much it fucking hurts. The downsides keep piling on, stay single boys.
