That's because men have a code, a brotherhood if you will. Oh sure this excludes white knights, simps and the like. But for the most part, we adhere to our unwritten code. Example: While at the store, you stop your car to let the guy ahead of you to walk to the door. He gives you thanks by the universal man nod/wave. In return, you lift your fingers of the hand on the steering wheel (Universal man wave) to acknowledge your welcome. Civility maintained.

Would women do that? HELL NO!

I recently had to explain to a 40yo woman that yes, it was in fact dead: She wanted to cut in line at a counter so i told her she could wait at the end of the line like everyone else. She clutched her pearls (figuratively) and expounded: "you could be more polite, Chivalry is dead nowadays". As if that is somehow a valid admonishment. So I said "yes, it's dead, your generation killed it".

Equal rights, does not mean "but muh special privileges".

Men say thank you 100% of the time. Women and girlish men do it 50% of the time as if the helpful act was supposed to be expected.

Chivalry was a code of knights, i.e. nobles, and only applied to ladies, i.e. noble women, not surf women. King Arthur wasnt holding the door open for a peasant woman, nor was Lancelot. They were doing it for women who owned land. In other words, they were marrying women for their money. LOL. The 50s erroneously applied this rich people concept to the working poor.

Awhile ago I helped explain some stuff about electronics to an elderly gentleman. No biggie; I'm happy to help whenever I can.

However to my surprise he actually smiled, put out his hand to shake mine and said thank you.

I've gotten thank you's before but never something so grand.

I always help men because men are always the helpful ones. I even help shitty men because odds are they are that way because of some experience with a woman.

Women are the fastest ones to deny a stranger help if he needs directions or something. All they know to do is gesture decency and civility, not embody it.

As the op explained it, sure. Chivalry as in White Knight, no. That's the trap.

Women fun in one circumstance and maybe they'll flop around like an out-of-water fish. But I've known few who didn't tone police the hell out of every situation. So ignore them they don't care feel for you as they play their victim card.

Not once in my life I had woman help me. Once I got into a scrape - there were several of them and I was alone, so naturally I got beat up pretty bad, but I'm still standing, propping myself against the wall. And all those "compassionate and caring" women just walk by with a disgusted look on their faces, while several men actually approached me and asked if I needed any help.
