I remember when the hospital was pressing me into scheduling a circumcision for my only son. I said no thanks at least twice. After another press for mutilating my son's manhood I said "touch my son and see what happens to the lot of you".

Yeah, I don't understand how this is acceptable in american (or any other) culture. I had my genitals mutilated before i even knew anything about them. its as simple as that, i don't care how you try to relabel it.

The main problem is medical associations saying the benefits outweigh the risks.

I still don't understand if circumcision reduces the risk of infection, since the scar is at risk of infection. Luckily where I live this is not an issue (outside the USA).
