My mother is talking about seeking alimony from my father. They have been divorced for years.

I was talking to my sister about it and I told her it was basically stealing.

She said "No it isn't, its legal according to the law"

I said "Legality doesn't matter."

She said "If you divorce someone, you should pay alimony"

I said "So If a women married a man and chose to divorce him, she should pay alimony?"

She said "No, and lauphed, the women doesn't pay alimony"

I said "Forgive me, I thought men and women are equal, that is what school taught me"

She said "No they aren't, men are paid more money. Women are paid 80 cents to the dollar"

She looked like she was straight short circuiting at this point

Equality doesn't matter to them at all. They just want to keep all the benefits of being a women from the old days of chivalry but at the same time get all the BENEFITS of being a man with none of the responsibility. I hope one day the feminists can experience true equality but this is only possible if men can part with their white-knight instincts.
