Overheard one of my female colleagues talking about their ex husband

Apparently, they had "planned" for the husband to put all of his money into a mortgage/house that was in the wife's name whilst the wife put money into her pension.

Apparently the plan was that they would live together happily in the house the wife (my colleague) owned that he paid for and survive on the wife's pension.

They divorced, he has no pension and no home. She has a nice juicy pension and a nice home.

She was talking about how he still tries to contact her shes blocked his number. He still sends emails which she doesn't respond to.

Apparently they met up because of some family meeting or whatever, it was meant to be in the park on mats but she made him bring his own separate mat to sit apart from the family.

I don't know why they divorced, but regardless of the reason this is proof and evidence that you NEED TO OWN YOUR OWN RESOURCES!!

Even if you consider marriage always have a back up, own the house in your name, own the car in your name, do not share bank accounts, get a separate pension

She will throw you under the bus
