The association released its recommendation on Friday, saying that circumcision should be "An informed, personal choice" that young men should make for themselves.

In making its recommendation, the doctors' association stopped short of calling for a legal ban on male circumcision, which is legal but relatively rare in Denmark.

The Danish Health and Medicines Authority estimates that somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 circumcisions are performed in Denmark each year, primarily on Jewish and Muslim boys.

Why did circumcision get started back in tribal times? If I were to guess, as a test of manhood and to make the penis appear more "masculine". Probably also mystical reasons to do with the penis being the center of masculine energy. Bullshit reasons. I certainly don't buy the hygiene argument.

It's not about health or even about sex. It is about asserting domination over males and establishing that they have no rights to integrity or safety.

It also makes it clear that you are not worthy of protection, nobody is coming to spare you from pain.

You are disposable from the moment you are born. The sooner and most brutally you are taught to comply, the better.

While i do think it's mostly cosmetic, there still are enough health benefits to warrant it. My three boys who all had it done took it like champs and have not objected since!

MGTOW, I was an infant when I was circumcised... prevents against disease and UTI's, also doesnt get in the way of the piss stream.

However, I had a good doctor, left more foreskin than usual.
