Minimize the effect of child support? Strike first and strike hard. You need to be the one who files for divorce and you need to hire an investigator and throw everything you can at her including having her thrown in jail.

Only way to protect yourself is to end her before she gets to you! Sad that it comes to this.... but you can’t defend. There is NO DEFENSE that works. Your only option is to end her before she even knows what’s going on.

The DPRMA does all CS on a formula, so there is little sway in the guidelines. Cold, hard math. I have 50/50.

I carry the health insurance, which is pre tax, and that has weight in the equation.

Changes must be all court approved, and changes in support are only effective to the filing date. The status quo is good for now, because my employer health plan went from “family” to “employee plus children”, and I’ve gotten a couple raises since the last modification.

If the boys want to live with me primarily, we will petition the court then. Otherwise, I have better hobbies than suing my ex.
