Wait until 2015, by then you'll be able to take RISUG; it's essentially a vasectomy (to put it simply) lasting 10 years that is reversible.

If I may ask, what is your current job? Perhaps you could give me some advice about your profession, as I'm a young MGTOW (16), and my future is still malleable.

If you can honestly say that you don't want a little half-your-genetic-material running around, then go for it.

Interestingly the procedure itself is a perfect example of the double-standard men face. Under the mess that is the ACA, birth control and tubal ligations are covered, but men have to pay out of pocket for their equivalent procedure.

Get ready to face a lot of heat from the doctor, as in not wanting to do it. He's going to tell you to wait a little longer you're too young. And be sure to lose your shit if he asks you if you got permission from your wife.

If that's what you want and your sure of it go for it. But if the male pill is just around the corner you may want to hold off for a bit. I'm in my 40's, I was pretty sure I never wanted kids until my niece came into my life a couple of years ago. My desire to be a father is stronger than ever now no doubt about it. But getting involved with a woman and hoping it works out, while the whole time being at her mercy and her whims with the ability to she would have to end it all for me was the hurtle for me. I'm a little long in the tooth now. Just saying think about it dude.

Especially now, with the new shared parenting bills that are making there way through several readings in some states in the U.S. and Canada as well. Custody laws will be changing, the default position will be children should/will have 50/50 access to both parents, and very good reason will have to be put forward to prove otherwise.

For the time being always wear a condom if you don't want to be a father. No matter what. She says she's allergic to latex, get an alternative, problem with that too ? Don't bang her. Like Robert DeNiro in Heat just walk away. :-)

So, a few days later I'm still weighing my options and at this point I'll probably just wait for Smart RISUG.

As a MGTOW/AWALT experiment, I told one of my female "friends" (Whom I feel thinks that she is stringing me along hook, line and sinker to be a nice little provider for her once she gets off the bad boy train) about my plans and wow did a get some serious shaming. Somehow me voluntarily removing myself from the gene pool is a crime against humanity and must mean that I absolutely hate children. I guess the thought of her having no way to entrap me in the future scared her?

Empathy for your future self; how do you think you'll look back on your decision (whichever choice you make), in, say, 10 years? Will you in ten years be like, "wow, I really dodged that bullet - my life is great", or; will you be thinking, "well, a vasectomy is reversible in most men, I wish I hadn't gotten it, and I want to get a reverse vasectomy"?

Additionally, you know your libido better than anyone - how is it? Do you need a vasectomy because you have a lot of sex/you are at risk of impregnating a woman?

Also, you know your "blue balls" better than anyone - are your epididymides "roomy" and you feel little to no physical discomfort from lack of orgasm? Or do they ache easily? If that's the case, I suggest you talk to your urologist about your options, such as an open-tube vasectomy, as opposed to a "knot" vasectomy; your urologist is the one to ask, not me.

Personally, the red pill has made me so often repulsed by women that I've become nearly asexual (and happier for it). I know it's bad advice for someone who (might) have/has a high sex drive, but, for me (who doesn't) abstinence is the best contraceptive (plus I was always the one doing all the work, and, personally, I have a circumcised penis, so I have fewer nerve endings - making sex not very enjoyable... yay female standards of aesthetics of my mutilated genitals... fucking "patriarchy", 'amiright?).

As you debate with yourself the merits of a vasectomy - be honest with yourself, first and foremost. Weigh things in your mind as only you can (after all it is men going THEIR OWN way - you know what's best for you). It is, perhaps, a good way for you to reclaim some of your reproductive choice; if you don't want children, then don't have children.

There are billions of blue-pillers making billions of babies, so I'm not going to tell you that you've got to "think of the children - won't somebody think of the children!" and that you, alone, must repopulate the next generation... I think that's been taken care of.

(on a side note, I see the biodiversity of humanity really increasing, and, especially with biochemistry, I see humanity bifucating in the future - probably splitting off into many species, in fact, much like the Cro-Magnon did. I think speciation is already occurring between r/K-types, and it would be interesting to see how it all plays out in a few thousand years, or even a few hundred years... If the dissolution of the family/tribe has taught us anything - it is that humans are changing and selective pressures are changing [and artificial pressures are being invented by medicine]. I "worry" less about having babies, and more about having ideas. I love humanity, but I'm not wedded to it. I just really wish I could live long enough to see the future because it's shaping up to be interesting. That's why I'm a biochemist - I want to be on the frontline of medical technology, and extend and enrich my life as much as possible... having a quick clutch of children is best for a species that has a short life-span, and, in fact, some interesting studies, such as those on the FOXO gene - indicate that having children signals earlier cell death... gotta make room for the next generation, right? So, maybe not having kids will help you to live longer - just to give you something to think about... I mean... look at how "old" parents become from the ravages of stressful family life... I'm glad that I'm not the one with an overpowering "imperative" - but you're not me and I'm not you - so you've got to decide for you what works best in your case.)

You could wait for that birth control for men... lasts ten years or till they give you another shot. As soon as I can get it in canada scares me that I have to put trust in birth control pills sometimes.

Thanks for all the responses, I've been doing a bit of reading on the subject and aside from any complications during the operation I don't really see any real negative facets to vasectomy save for its irreversible nature.

Also, a note on abstinence, abstinence is important for every MGTOW, I've been abstinent from sex for slightly over a year and just recently I have been abstaining from masturbation for about a month and a half. (/r/NoFap) This has had a great calming and balancing effect on my life. I don't feel quite as sexually motivated as I have before and I feel like I am truly exercising control over my sexuality. When I approach women with a logical mind that has been systematically desensitized to sexual impulses I see how dangerous they really are...

Look into other methods of male birth control. A vasectomy can mess with your hormones in a serious way. Personally, I would want to keep my testosterone ( and the drive that comes with it).

If I was in your position I wouldn't do it. I'm one of the few believers in NAWALT. I would abstain from having sex if I didn't want a baby. But, that's just my two cents. You should do what makes you feel comfortable.

Just pull out. I've made it to 37 on that. The risk is not pulling out fast enough, but I don't think I've fucked it up yet. Sounds ignorant, I know, but it's worked for me.
