Since going mgtow I've noticed I have more disposable income and spare time to pursue my hobbies and interests. My stress level is also at an all time low.

If you find yourself in a LTR with a women, it's in her nature to drive your friends & family away, then control your interactions & relationships going forward. When the inevitable relationship breakdown occurs, oftentimes because she decided on a whim to pursue her hypergamist instincts to chase another opportunity, she must now contend with the optics of her choices. To any 3rd party observer this typically looks a lot like it is: She dumped her committed, loving, provider & father of her children, to pursue some tingles with some random new guy she met in her new job, who no one really knows from a bar of soap, other than the fact he's the caliber of man that sees fit to break apart a child's stable home. Needless to say the optics aren't good. Women are social creatures foremost. For them their social status is everything. Thus she must manufacture consent from friends & family in an effort to retain her social status for the poor choices she has made. She will do this by going scorched earth on the man she dumped/cheated on, the father of her children, in a 2 pronged strategy, to cut him off from ever sharing his version of events with her friends & family, whilst building false justifications for the selfish choices she has made. She will perform this mental somersault so perfectly she will even convince herself of her lies. Every percieved slight from your past relationship with her will be dredged up & contorted into a heartbreaking revisionist version of the actual event, that lands all blame & malcontent at the mans feet. This is why it's best to just write off that sad chapter of your life and just go your own way. Reach out to old friends & family. Find a way forward.

I lost most of my friends but kept the ones I knew before marriage. I have a large family and they're my hang-out friends anyway. I'm lucky in that manner.

They say a house is the most expensive purchase the average American makes, but for me, it was marriage. I look at all the money I put into it from the dating to the wedding to the year after year finally to the divorce. I was married for 25 years. I had to start over financially and had no real property to show for it. I do have kids though, but it sucks that I can buy them nice gifts at birthdays and Christmas. No wonder kids of divorces think the dads suck.

I've rebuilt over the years and can finally buy a few nice things.

What I hate is that, when I fill out forms, I have to select the divorced checkbox. Why? I'm single. Divorce is a process, not a status.

I would rather be lonely by myself than broke with pussy and friends. Loneliness is a feeling that will pass in a few minutes. Being broke is a reality that won't pass until you get rid of all those friends/family and that whore over there .

Biggest argument I had during my divorce was the end date. When do I stop paying you. Didn’t care about the number. Needed an end date. Finally got it. Hope on the horizon. 12 months to go. Free and clear. Still have more money alone than I ever did married. She is still broke AF after moving in with the shit bag she cheated on me with.
