For my MGTOW brothers,

I knew something didn't add up when I discovered MGTOW through top liked comments on a huge channel of YouTube (TEDTalks), and when I looked at anti-MGTOW videos they were all disliked into oblivion with pro-MGTOW comments, yet when you go on this leftist-feminist propaganda pool that is reddit, which has a much smaller audience than YT it feels like we and critical thinkers as a whole are in a great minority. I could not understand the disparity.

It's easy to drive yourself mad, especially during lockdowns, and if this is the only social media you have, thinking that this shithole accurately reflects how the average person thinks.

So I want to make this post, a reminder for myself and new arrivals, about the reality of this platform.

Shareholders

A quick google search reveals that the majority shareholder of reddit is Advance Publications. So who is Advance? A mass media company that owns newspapers, journals, and through their subsidiary Condé Nast, they own Vogue, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, GQ, and many more...

Basically, reddit is mainly owned by a leftist-feminist mainstream media conglomerate.

That is also the reason why there is such an emphasis on U.S. news and U.S. politics right from the home page. If the mainstream news can spread lies and politicize for profit 24/7, what makes you think that they would not do everything in power to use reddit, the 6th most used mobile app in the U.S., to the exact same ends to benefit their agenda?

It is also worth noting that unlike all other social media platforms of this size, reddit is a fully private company. They have therefore no liability to disclose any information and can do whatever they want.

That is important because, another main shareholder is a Chinese company, Tencent, a tech conglomerate giant, and we all know how well China handles censorship and propaganda.

They can literally have whole army departments acting as bots / manipulating algorithms in their economic-psychic warfare and there isn't any way for you or I to know about it, since all of it is private. A quick google search about "chinese bot farm" and you can see it done live. It is already something that is practiced in the online marketing world as a marketplace for engagement, views, comments, etc. on platforms like Instagram and Youtube. So I guarantee you, Reddit is not an exception (nor is any other social media app).

How's that for the 6th largest social media app in the U.S.?

Demographics

It is also worth remembering that based on this data, 44% of all reddit users are under 29, but that does not include teens under 18. So we're looking at a site where the target users of under <29's is easily over 50%. It is one of the platforms with the youngest audience behind of course Snapchat and Twitter. As the most toxic platform, Twitter also takes the lead with a baffling 44% under 24 years old, not even including <18. So easily 75% for <24 years old for Twitter.

Another important part of that graph is that only 11% of U.S. adults use reddit. This means that even if the entirety of this site was authentic and an accurate representation (which it is NOT), it would account for 1/10. Completely insignificant compared to the big #'s of other social apps.

So in summary, what we have here is a platform privately owned by a mainstream U.S. news conglomerate and operated by SJW CEOs from San Francisco with the help of $300M+ investments from CCP China, frequented by only 1/10 of internet users of which over 50-60% are under 29.

What a joke.

And if this is what I was able to find in 10 min of a few google searches, imagine all that is hidden, censored, cancelled, etc. beneath the surface... Many of you probably already knew this but I didn't. It really opened my eyes and I already unsubbed from most of the mainstream subs. Cheers
