Here it is: People aren’t meant to be on top of each other 24/7, in my opinion.

My gf is super social and I’m more of a loner. Im also super independent. I’m very comfortable by myself, she can’t sit still or go 24 hours without being out and about. She’s never lived alone, traveled alone, and I’m all about that life.

This hasn’t been a problem before bc I genuinely like spending time with her but now it’s becoming one.

I’m starting to feel suffocated. She wants to cook every meal and if I don’t want to cook with her, she’s like you dont want to do anything. I’m tired of compromising on what to watch on tv, what to eat, when to go to bed. Everything. Sometimes I just wanna do what I want to do when I want to do it. But I feel like if I start doing my own thing she takes it as me essentially breaking up with her. I suggested I take a day to myself and go back to my apartment and she started crying.

I feel like I can’t talk to her about it bc any suggestion of me having a second to breathe is met with tears and a feeling that I’m leaving her. I just want a little alone time.

I’m starting to feel resentful. Does anyone have suggestions for how I can talk to her about this. Do I just take off for a few days and leave her at home crying. Feels like a lose lose.

Tl:dr my gf won’t give me any space during the quarantine and i don’t know how to talk to her about it
