You can shut the harpies who complain that you aren't married by asking them what tangible benefit is there to men in marriage. They'll start talking about companionship and partnership. Push back and ask them for tangible benefits. They can't name one.

Helen Smith presents these issues really well - good interview when she gets out there. Wonder why we don't see much of her. That book pretty much hits the nail on the head. Any women questioning the state of things should pick up a copy.

I am never ever getting married. Date, live together, whatever. But never getting married, fuck that.

I work in night shift where most husband's are working 10-12 hour days and are not home until 1AM.

I've seen so many divorced men, who are going to probably end up dying at the factory, because they can't retire. I'm scarred for life.

Like there was a man named Gary, older guy, great person.

Makes a ton of money, nearly a million dollar house, and all that shit. And his wife cheated on him, with his friend whose also a cop. So they divorced, and he just gave her everything and left.

Now he is living at some old, shitty apartment complex in the ghetto. And driving a car so beat up, the seats have holes in them. I don't know why he is so broke. I think he said, he was still going to pay for his kids to get through college by himself, and support his wife or something.

The best part is, his ex and her new man will sometimes stop by and give him left overs from their dates. Like scraps you'd give a fucking dog! Yet he is happy. Which is a failure on his part for letting that bitch walk all over him, but aside from being a cuck, the man is a good person.

I love this Dr. Helen Smith. I have read her book before he she is spot on with the information. If more women were like this they "might" be worth it again. Now I know that's a stretch.

I see your point, and from the standpoint of a human soley focused on their own desires, whether financial or sexual, I full-heartedly agree. Yet, I wish to believe some beings still have the capability for love. If both parties are capable of empathy, my argument goes as follows:

Why would a man not marry someone they love, someone they truly care for and who cares back, someone they would die for? Why would anyone not marry the person who they can rely on? Why not marry someone who not only takes, but also gives?

Love makes you do many things, some rational, some not. If a man loves a woman who loves him back, why not tie the knot?
