Cold turkey may be hard and if your body is dependent on alcohol could hurt you. Try switching to cannabis maybe to help come off it and help with the withdrawals? May not be best advice to use one drug for another but if you go somewhere they are prob going to give you pills anyway so might as well go to something safer and would help you recover.

Your bank account is a really good reason. Think about it not as a daily thing, think about it as the whole. 10 bucks a day not a lot (if you are drinking lets say a 4 pack of craft a day) 300 dollars a month 3600 dollars a year. And thats if you are only drinking at home, if you go out so much more.

Then there is the health factors as well. I promise you once you stop you will feel leaps and bounds better every day. You'll be surprised how much more energy you have and how much better you feel, especially in the mornings. It will help you clear your mind and focus on goals. I guarantee if you stop you will have more of a drive to exercise more if you aren't already doing so.

I used to drink quite a bit but after my last GF left me for another dude I realized all we did was drink all the time. So I said fuck that I need to be better to myself. Drink from time to time but thats all and I feel the best i have in years.

Start drinking coffee instead.

Find other "productive" things to do at home... things that occupy your mind and take you out of your own probs/life are often best: start reading books, etc.

I heard that a carinvore diet will make the feelings of needing alcohol go away. Same with keto.
