Women being unhappier now, hooked on drugs like anti-depressants, visits to the psychiatrist, and starting families of cats says it all. They've fooled themselves into thinking that moving into a socially atomized big city and pursuing a soulless corporate career would be more rewarding than the lives generation after generation of their ancestors lived to create them.

For 99% of people out there, work actually sucks. It's not a life you actually want to pursue but do it out of need. With no idea how to fill the holes in their lives, enter vapid consumerism. A below replacement fertility rate is a symptom of a broken, diseased society that has reached a dead end and no longer wishes to continue. The gynocentric society has no future.
