Think about it. Women have never wanted to settle. They have only ever done so out of necessity. The reason women used to be better partners wasn't because they wanted to be. It's because if they were found cheating or disobeying their husband, they'd get divorced and thrown out with no money and no support as well as being publicly humiliated.
You think women of the previous generations were saints? Nope, my grandma tells me that the women were just as unfaithful back then, just more sly with it. Nowadays they can get away with it so they do.

Well, it's not all that bad. Chances are good the guy is going to be paying for his own gifts anyway, so buying him cheaper gifts is probably a good thing.
