In light of a recent friend being falsely accused with no proof, and the accusation being used as a weapon to escape accountability, how many of you have experienced this or personally know a friend that has been falsely accused of sexual misconduct or rape?

People throw out all kinds of numbers and stats saying this is not common at all. All I can say is: 10 years ago I blindly believed all rape accusations. Then, I noticed I need to start taking them case by case. Now, it is like I absolutely have to hear some kind of proof before I begin to believe an accusation.

When a man gets absolved of all wrongdoing, he has already lost his reputation, possibly his job, and everyone remembers the accusation forever. Nothing happens to the woman that lied in order to cover up her affair, or whatever reason she lies for.
