Hugh's wife cheated on him before he made it big though. I was disappointed when watching a documentary about him to find out that he stayed with her, married her and had kids with her even after she admitted to cheating.

Napoleon was cucked for a long time until he was redpilled by Josephine's adultery. Josephine being a typical woman incapable of thinking past 5 seconds begged Napoleon to stay with her after she realized he had become the most powerful man in Europe. Napoleon unfortunately stayed but fucked other women all the time.

Even though it "hurt like hell" when he found out, I like how Johnny Carson reacted with humor soon after he found out about his first wife's affair (mentioned above):

“Why Frank Gifford?” he asked. “What’s that a–hole got that I don’t have?” I wasn’t sure where he was going with this but maybe nowhere good. The mood appeared to be swinging back. “That guy plays three positions on the field,” he said. “I could never get Joanne to go for more than two.” His deadpan timing was perfect. I nearly fell off my stool laughing. He was smiling appreciatively. “I think I’ll use that line in tomorrow’s monologue.”

On another sad note though, I read this on Time's website:

Just hours before his marriage to his third wife, Joanna Holland, Carson tore up a proposed prenuptial agreement, a decision that ultimately cost him $35 million when the couple split eight years later.

He married a third time, but when he drifted from his third wife he said he didn't want to get divorced yet again and be remembered as the guy "who got divorced four times".

In short, don't get married, and heed the advice Otto von Bismarck gave a century and a half ago:
