Its been pretty much established gender roles are not forced. In the most egalitarian sweden, where male and female are free to choose their lifestly, they are actually more likely to choose jobs associated with traditional male or female roles.

Traditional culture means men have to pay for children, decoration, design, oils, scents, etc., because she isn't going to have an income of her own. And because women control the finances in households, whatever money you want to spend for yourself isn't going to be available because it's all spent on that crap.

And what self respecting man would be happy with that kind of spending arrangement?
