There’s always something. I remember in college we were told “Hedy Lamarr invented wifi.” I was immediately skeptical, and a few minutes of Google later, discovered what, as Paul Harvey would say, was the rest of the story. She worked with a guy (of course) to develop a certain technology in the 40s that was eventually used in the development of wifi much later by completely different people. Gee, that’s quite the caveat. I found the same kind of story when I Googled “first computer programmer.”

It’s like saying the caveman who discovered fire way back when, is also the inventor of the flamethrower by default. C’mon.

Modern computer languages are designed for girls. Men can read and debug 5000 line functions. Compare C++ to C#.
Turing's paper on computable numbers is the holy grail of computers anyway.

They are not programmers. They are the ones who reposition the cables into their correct socket. Women did that job a lot in the past especially on phone companies.
