reminds me of an article just posted to r/nfl. it was in the comments to an article on Yahoo about tons of very wealthy NFL players who lost their fortune, from Vince Young to Terrell Owens, etc.

funny thing is......at least 50% of the stories were men getting raped by child support. basically rich athletes who had high priced lifestyles in the first place, and then basically had their baby moma's divorce rape and child support rape them for their security money. and of course being NFL stars they are expected to pay ALOT. how ridiculous, like being an NFL athlete is sustainable at all. the average length of a running backs career is like 2.5 years, but he'll be paying child support at that earnings rate for 18 years. lmao. oh well, get rich, think you can save a ho, pay the price.

I used to go all "woke progressive equal rights" when a woman at the bar (that I didnt know or just met that night) asked me to buy her a drink.

I'd say something along the lines of equal rights, blah blah blah. Then end with "when the last time you bought a man a drink?" Sometimes throw in a line about do you want respect or a drink.

Surprisingly, it had a very high success rate, about 20%.

Semi related. One night out during a $1.50 shot special drink night I had met these two ladies who I just met that night ask me to buy them drinks. I refused with my usual (from above) but didn't get drinks. Later that night I see some other friends (men) and when it's time for more drinks I'm like let's all go get some $1.50 drinks I got this round. I buy two extra drinks bc those two women are still with us. I pass out drinks to everyone but those women and take 3 myself.

I then reiterated I dont buy drinks for women I dont know or just met

I split bar tabs with women all the time, often going back and forth on tickets too. With my one girlfriend, I paid for Iron Maiden and then she took me to Bill Burr.

Every so often I buy a round or dinner but don't care about getting money back, like a special occasion or something. I'm not poor so dinner and drinks doesn't break me.
