Toxic masculinity is absolutely a thing, but the context is probably fucking stupid. Toxic masculinity is just toughening up when you need to talk about something that will hurt you in the end, which contributes to a high male suicide rate, not the reason your ex doesn’t want you.

Well then what’s it called when society says “man up” and it’s fucking bullshit. that’s just the term they made, I don’t make the rules, but people use it incorrectly. I used to deny toxic masculinity being a thing because it’s sounds the way it does, like some liberal bullshit used to diss men, but it’s just a word made to replace “just man up”. We need to take the word from them and the stigma around it.
