There is a reason “game” evolved from “canned openers” and “cocky and funny” and “peacocking” to “self improvement” and “being on your purpose” and “getting your shit together”.

Basically old pua game failed horribly for guys who didn’t have looks. So now game has just become lifting weights (to improve looks), having a purpose (which tends to result in status in whatever area u pursue) and getting your shit together (meaning getting a good job and making money so wealth + status). So to summarize: game has become teaching guys to acquire looks, status and wealth. When the original point of game was to hack the matrix so that you didn’t need ANY of those things, just the shirt on your back and delusional levels of confidence. So is there even a point to these pua coaches anymore? Any guy who has looks status and wealth, or a combination of any two of those, is going to be able to get girls with just the most basic of social skills and being friendly.

Game really is bullshit and it always has been. Game works if you are already desirable. It’s like, say you were a 7”7 giant, but u never touched a basketball before and had no belief in yourself that u can dunk (even though u can basically dunk without even jumping) game would teach u that actually yes, u can dunk at will, all u have to do is grab the ball, reach up, and slam it through the hoop. But if u told that advice to a 5”3 guy, he can’t even come close to dunking, and then u tell that guy “bro! U just gotta jump higher”! And so he practices for months and months even years trying to jump higher, but he’s never gona dunk that ball. That’s what game is.

Game is real. There's a reason why TRP subreddit is still there and going strong. Because it works.

But, IMO, it only applies for a short term relationship a.k.a one night stand or pump and dump. A Long Term Relationship (LTR) needs more than just a game. It needs the commitment from both sides, but it usually doesn't end well for both sides.

Gaming a woman, to me, is for those guy who pursue women for pussies. Their focus is mainly based on external circumstances. While MGTOW is ignoring these kinds of thing and focus on himself instead.

But you cannot go full MGTOW, before you swallow the redpill.

Some of the recommended stuff may help, like getting in really good shape, but I don't think it's some kind of magic advice. If a guy is not particularly good-looking, he's probably looking at a lot of work and time for any kind of reasonable dating improvement, and no guarantees, in return. To which one has to ask: (1) Is it just too much work for what one is likely to get in return?; and (2) Why should a guy have to do all that if no woman is willing to do the same for him?

And let's not forget how embarrassing it is when a guy, who is the opposite of a Chad, starts testing his new dating skills, believing his 4-inch lifts in his boots, his new $1000 clothes, and faking being confident and cool is somehow going to fool women into dating him.

I won't go so far as to say that such dating advice never works, but I do believe it is a lot of work, and may have limited returns for a lot of guys. It sure doesn't seem to be some quick solution to dating.

Your job is to figure out how to get and keep her interested long enough to get in and rob the bank without her noticing until you're long gone. The game is to leave her open to it again further down the line so you always have a pool of plates to call on when you inevitably hit the dry spell.
